Was born in Ireland and studied at the National College of Art and Design in 1998. Deborah worked with an Art Gallery in NY for a few years, where they told her to come back when she was 50 years of age. That, she says is the business of Art’! Deborah has published children’s books and you can see her work in Duke Street gallery in Dublin, , Draíocht Art in Adare in Co. Limerick and The Anchor Art gallery in Ardmore.

Her mother is also an artist and she grew up in a house surrounded by musicians and artists. Her earliest memories are playing with the other artist’s kids in Merrion Square while their parents hung their art on the railings in Dublin.

Deborah Donnelly is a modern art painter whose work resembles much of that painted during the impressionist era. She uses strikingly bold colours in her paintings of cows, calfs, farmsteads, and other farm animals. She was born in Ireland and studied at the National College of Art and Design in 1998.

Deborah moved to New York after several one woman exhibitions in Ireland. During her stay in the USA she had seven major exhibitions between 1998 and 2003. Now, back in her native Ireland, she continues her painting career. Much of her latest work is shown in Galleries around Ireland, Paris & the UK.

It is twenty years since I painted her first cow painting and deservedly attracted the interest of many collectors over the years, sometimes identified as the ‘cow woman’.
