Syra Larkin.
Syra studied art at Hammersmith College of Art London and qualified with merit in 1972. She moved to Ireland with her luthier husband Chris in 1977. They have lived and worked in the Maharees, Castlegregory for over 40 years. Syra has taken part in many of the major open submission exhibitions in Ireland. She has had work in both solo and group exhibition in Ireland, England, throughout Europe and America.
In 2004 she was nominated to take part in the 2005 Florence Biennale and in 2017 her painting ‘Heart’s Desire’ was selected for the prestigious Society of Women Artist 156th Exhibition at The Mall Galleries London
Her work can be found in both private and corporate collections. Draíocht Art Gallery, Adare exclusively exhibits her work at present in Ireland.
